Travel Disruption – Cross Gates Area

We would like to inform patients of significant travel disruption affecting the Cross Gates area due to ongoing roadworks.

From 31 March until 25 November 2025, the southbound carriageway of Station Road across the railway bridge will be closed for reconstruction works. In addition, one lane of the northbound carriageway will also be closed to allow for central reservation works and ensure the safety of workers.

These closures are expected to cause significant delays in and around the area. Further details can be found at thetrupgrade.co.uk/stationroad.

We strongly advise patients to allow extra travel time when attending appointments. Unfortunately, we are not always able to see patients who arrive late or miss their appointments due to these delays, as this can have a significant impact on the smooth running of clinics and on other patients who arrive on time.
